London Marathon Diaries Part II - Jim's weekend

My training run took me on a new route underneath the Thames this weekend. I was told about a foot tunnel that went from the Isle of Dogs (thankfully there weren't any as I've had two incidents, one with a Daschund) to Greenwich. The entrance to the tunnel was pretty well hidden and 8miles into a run searching for a set of underground steps was quite challenging. Long story short, I found the tunnel and made my way past the Cutty Sark and up to the observatory which was fantastic.
The run back was pretty painful helped only by the sunset and a Lucazade. 16miles done. Chris'  hill training weekend in Wiltshire is making me nervous...
