RSF Friends of the Foundation Dinner at Dock kitchen

This year's fundraising Friends of The Foundation Dinner took place, once again, in Tom Dixon's glittering shop followed by dinner upstairs at Dock Kitchen, the renowned restaurant run by award-winning chef Stevie Parle. To start the evening, guests were treated to a fantastic acoustic set by a selection of The Rhythm Studio Foundation's scholarship students. Our "London calling" dress code was popular, and with flowing prosecco and canapés, the atmosphere was one of a cocktail party. Chris Hodges, Founder of The Rhythm Studio Foundation, took a moment to talk about how the  charity has grown since it's inception 5 years ago and particularly  the achievements of the last year.

“In the last 12 months we’ve delivered a 6-12 week music programme for 210 state primary school children, helped 18 young people to have individual tuition to develop their skills via our scholarship programme and led fortnightly music workshops on the pediatric wards of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and St Mary’s Paddington, visiting over 800 children. None of this would be possible without the essential fundraising work that takes place throughout the year and in particular our annual gala dinner”.

The  fundraising auction, hosted by Jack Horner and quizmaster Simon London, was a  great success and in addition to our our silent auction, ticket sales and donations, The Rhythm Studio Foundation made over £20,000 from the event.

We'd like to thank all the RS staff, guests, auction lot donors, auctioneers, Dock Kitchen, Tom Dixon and Moncada Brewery as well as the members of our wonderful committee who helped to make this our most successful fundraiser ever!
